Marketing Manager

Reports to: Head of Marketing and Director of Attractions
Salary: £27,000
Holiday: 28 days p/a inclusive of bank holidays
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours p/w

The JORVIK Group of Attractions (owned by York Archaeological Trust) is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Marketing Manager to work with the Head of Marketing to help deliver the strategy for our Attractions and Events Group.

You will play a key role in delivering creative, exciting and innovative marketing and PR campaigns for the Trust’s attractions including the world-renowned JORVIK Viking Centre, DIG, Barley Hall, The Richard III Experience at Monk Bar and the Henry VII Experience at Micklegate Bar, plus the city-wide JORVIK Viking Festival. This will include all print, advertising, media liaison and evaluation.

This challenging position will also help to develop and implement marketing strategies for our group sales and corporate offer, plus seasonal events programme, as well as leading on the creation of innovative and engaging content for use across the digital marketing mix (social media, websites, blogs, video content etc).

With key responsibility to assist in developing and driving our award-winning marketing team it is essential that the successful applicant will have 2 years marketing management experience at a tourism attraction or similar and possess excellent communication and people management skills, an eye for detail and a passion for building better lives through heritage.
